Fayik Turan joined Investigation and Planning Department of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works after Graduating from Yıldız Technical University as a Civil Engineer in 1976. His academic credentials include the one year education program for water resources at International Institute for Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, Delft, Netherlands. During his public services he has participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars, and in this context, has participated in a seminar held in the field of irrigation and dam safety for a month in the United States. Following his retirement in 2003, he worked in Egypt as a consultant to Islamic Development Bank for the preparation of Aswan Dam Regional Development Master Plan. Then, he completed feasibility studies of Wadi Dayqah Project which was developed to supply irrigation and drinking water demands. During his employment at the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Mr. Turan worked in variety of projects in the field of water resources such as but not limited to watershed planning, energy, irrigation, flood control and protection and drinking-potable water supply. He prepared and controlled feasibility (planning) projects and examined technical, economic, environmental, and financial aspects within the scope of those projects. Mr. Turan speaks English as well. He is married and has two children.
Bora TURAN graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Gazi University in 2008. He graduated from Msc. program of Environmental Engineering Department at University of Houston, Texas in 2011. During his Msc. program he studied on water quality. Afterwards, he worked at ARCADIS U.S. , Texas as an environmental engineer from January 2012 to June 2013. During that period, he worked as a project engineer in different remediation projects at several petroleum refineries in the environmental group of the company and wastewater treatment plant design projects in the water group of the company. His project areas also include GIS applications and 1D and 2D flood modelling.
