Our new project; “Preparation of Second Cycle of Susurluk Basin …

Our new project; “Preparation of Second Cycle of Susurluk Basin Flood Risk Management Plan” has commenced. Directorate General of Water Management, Turkey is the main beneficiary of the project. An openning ceremony has been held with the attendance of Mr. Bilal DİKMEN, General Director of DGWM.

The plan will ensure mitigation of flood impacts on human health, environment, cultural heritage and economic activities.

Within the scope of the project;
Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment (PFRA) will be carried out,
Hydrological studies will be carried out by applying well known methodologies used by national institutes as well as hydrological models,
Topographical survey studies will be carried out,
1D/2D Hydraulic modelling studies will be carried out and flood inundation and hazard maps will be developed,
Flood risk maps will be developed,
Flood evacuation maps will be developed,
Flood mitigaiton measures will be proposed,
Prioritization of the measures will be completed,
Flood Risk Management Plan will be prepared.
